Cancellation: All rental fees are due and payable upon reservation. Lessee may cancel the reservation at any time up to 48 hours before the rental date and Lessor will refund the rental fees minus $100.00. No refunds will be granted if cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the rental date nor in the event of a no show. Lessor may cancel a reservation without refund in the event Lessee presents themselves in a negligent manner or is intoxicated. If a reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of the reservation date due to inclement weather, Lessor will permit Lessee to reschedule and use the rental fee for another date within the same calendar year of the rental date. Reservations may be rescheduled 3 times MAX in one calendar year before loss of entire applied funds.
Raincheck Policy: If our staff determine that it is unsafe to leave the dock or occupy one of our units for the day or duration of a desired stay due to severe weather, we will keep your deposit to be fully applied to a future rental at a later date. If severe weather limits the time able to be out safely as instructed by our staff, we will adjust your rental fee accordingly. Most times in the summer, storms/showers move through Watauga area rather quickly, and we can work around any rain & weather.
Unfortunately, members of a rental party canceling or not feeling well are not valid rescheduling/refund excuses as last minute cancellations prevent us from renting the boat to someone else. By submitting your credit card information through our online portal, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these policies.

A late fee of $100.00 per hour or any portion thereof will be automatically charged to Lessee if the vessel is not returned before the end of the rental period.
Security Deposit: The full rental fee together with applicable taxes thereon is due and payable at the time the rental is made and confirmed. The rental fee can only be made by a valid credit card or debit card. No cash deposits will be accepted.
Use of Vessel: Lessee agrees that the vessel (1) shall not be used for any unlawful or commercial purpose; (2) shall not be operated by Lessee or any other person while under the influence of alcoholic beverages or other controlled substances; (3) shall not be operated by any person other than Lessee or Lessee’s guests who are at least twenty one (21) years of age and hold a valid driver’s license.
Safety Requirements: Children under twelve (12) years of age must wear life preservers at all times while on the leased vessel It’s the Law.
Damages to Vessel or Equipment; Waiver: Lessee assumes full responsibility for the proper care of the vessel while in his/her possession and agrees that Lessor may charge Lessee’s credit or debit card for the repair of any damages to either the vessel or equipment. With respect to this responsibility, Lessee will pay Lessor a Damage Waiver Fee of $20.00 and Lessor will assume responsibility for any damages up to $150.00. The Damage Waiver Fee must be shown in the space provided in the contract above and paid at the time of the rental of the vessel. lessee assumes the risk of propeller damage and will be solely responsible for any repair costs associated.
Fuel Usage: The vessel has been rented to Lessee with a full tank of fuel. Upon return the vessel will be re-fueled before Lessee leaves premises. Lessee should return to the rental office to pay for fuel consumed.
Pet Fee: There will be a $25 fee for any pet that will be on the boat. (MAX 3). It is the guest responsibility to notify the office or we will assume the card on file will be charged for the max allowed pets.
